Most messengers, upon installation, first ask for access to your phone book. At InterChat, we took a different path. Your privacy is our top priority, so the app does not request access to your contact list.
How do you find friends and start chatting then? We have developed a system that guarantees protection from spam and unwanted interlocutors. Here is how it works:
1. Smart search
After registration, you don't need to synchronize your address book. Just enter the name or nickname of the desired person, chat, or channel in the search bar.
2. The rule of mutual consent
- Found the right contact? Send them the first message.
- If the user replies, you automatically become contacts.
- If there is no reply, further communication is impossible. You are protected from intrusive messages.
3. Order in dialogues
To ensure your main feed always remains clean and convenient, we have implemented a smart sorting system:
π "Others" folder: All new messages from unknown users (that you haven't replied to yet), as well as new invitations to chats and channels, go here. No one will be able to suddenly add you to a group without your knowledge!
β Main folders: As soon as you reply to a message or accept an invitation, the dialogue automatically moves to the appropriate category β "Contacts", "Groups", or "Channels".
Thus, in InterChat you only communicate with those you really want to. No spam, no "junk" chats β only safe and comfortable communication.

Support and bug report
If you need further support we have a ticket system available within the chat. It is accessed by clicking the "burger" on the top left
- the main menu will open
- there you will see "Support, complaints, suggestions"
- you then may open a new ticket and we will review it and let you know if it has been addressed (it gets marked as "read") or we will message you within the chat and answer your questions
